Stonecot Studios Social, Commercial, property and landscape photography The company owner and photographer, Colin Smith joined the company in 1993.

Stonecot Studios was established in 1982 and was studio based at Stonecot Hill in Sutton until Early 2016. Colin became interested in photography from a young age back in the mid eighties but an earlier photograph of Colin shown here would suggest it started before then! Colin was in the first year of the new GCSE in 1987 and one of the new subjects on offer was Photography, which of course he too

k and sailed through. That was followed with an A level and then a BTEC National Certificate, all completed with top grades. During the BTEC course Colin also worked in a photographic shop gaining essential retail experience, as well as hands on familiarity with all kinds of cameras and equipment. Of course this was before digital cameras so he became an expert in removing jammed films and replacing batteries to the delight of customers who assumed the camera was broken! From 1993 to the present day Colin has been a full time professional photographer and became qualified as a Master Photographer in 1995. He specialises in wedding, portrait and commercial photography and has followed the evolution of styles in those years. Colin Smith has experience in social photography including families, children, babies, models and pets. As well as dance schools and events such as First Holy Communions and pro-am golf days. Colins' interests in photography extend to landscapes, outdoor pursuits and nature.

It's happened.
Eleven months after accepting an offer on the shop/studio at Stonecot Hill, the sale finally completed this week-phew!
The shop was first opened as a photographic studio in 1982 by Robin Vivian and I started there in June 1993 - a long time ago! Things have changed so much in that time and I now look forward to the next phase..
Stonecot Studios continues into a new and exciting era. Watch this space,
