As we enter the last month of this year I thought I’d share my year end image a little earlier than normal. Mainly because I’ve got a busy end of 2025 and an even busier begins of 2026. Keep an eye out for those announcements in the coming weeks.

Somehow we’ve made it to the end of the year, even if it is more worse for the wear than any of us would have liked. With what LA has been through this year I thought about not doing my usual image for the end of the year but I feel like the original meaning behind the burning of the past year’s effigy holds true now more than ever. The loss of Altadena at the hands of a wildfire hit especially hard for me personally. lost everything in the fire in January and that really set the trajectory for the rest of 2025.

As tragic as the Alradena (Eaton) fire was, along with all the others throughout the Los Angeles area in January, I can see the seeds of hope sprouting. There is a long way to go and a lot of hurdles that shouldn’t need exist but never the less things are taking shape and something new is blooming from the ashes of tragedy. And that’s why I decided to keep to my imagery of burning the effigy.

Wishing I could go back to London, even if for only a day.
