I packed my bag and took my drawing kit out last week to walk along the Regent’s Canal with a fold up stool.

I found this scene where the weeping willows had grown into interesting shapes - one nearly growing horizontally from the trunk.

You can see the shape of the trees really clearly at this time of year but I got very cold in the process. It takes a long time too because I’m out of practice

I like to take my camera out when the sun is shining and I saw a girl concentrating on writing some notes as I was walking to St James’s Park.

I liked the complications of window markings,
Dorian, the type and reflections from the buildings opposite

St James’s Park was also beautiful with the changing leaves

We have goldfinches outside our window. A group are commonly called a charm of goldfinches but I hadn’t heard the alternative name - a troubling of goldfinches - ours are definitely in the second group.

To carry on with concentrated viewing from my last post, this image is from my basketball series, Half-court. For me, the most interesting part of the project was watching and talking to the players off court while they were watching the game.

This is Uche who I met early on in the project. I was always there in the early evening with this late sunlight

I sometimes like taking pictures through glass and using the reflections to add atmosphere and storytelling to the image.

This is Natalia who I met up with in Lisbon.

I feel so good taking pictures there. It’s a really creative place for me. I only feel like I’ve scratched the surface as well
