The National Theatre at its best, brutalist concrete bathed in low winter after noon light, terraces full of people who don’t realise they’re part of the composition.
Lasdun built this in the 70s and the city hated it. Now it’s one of my favourite buildings to photograph in London. The geometry never gives you the same shot twice.
South Bank. Never disappoints.

The Architecture of a Moment.
Street photography isn’t about what you see; it’s about what you choose to ignore. I ignored the 500 people walking past until the composition felt balanced.
1. Find the geometry: The vertical lines of the window vs. the horizontal lines of the street.
2. Set the exposure: Crush the blacks to isolate the light.
3. The Anchor: Wait for a subject that breaks the rhythm.
Patience is a technical skill.

Black and White: A Study in Architecture. 📐
Focusing on the intersections of glass and light. The City of London offers endless geometric inspiration if you look close enough.
Slide 1: Abstract textures.
Slide 2: Street-level scale.

Hard shadows and heavy lines. I wanted the grate in the foreground to pull you toward that door, but I needed a human element to break the stillness. Patience paid off.
Composition: Foreground depth via street grate.
Geometry: Leading lines and high-contrast B&W.
Light: Harsh afternoon sun.
