A solid 58-12 win over Halifax Panthers saw London Broncos RL lift the Championship League Leaders Shield, their first minor premiership in four decades. Next week, it’s another shot at a trophy with the 1895 Cup Final, followed in a couple of weeks by the Championship Playoffs. A busy and hopefully successful few weeks ahead for the club.

Action from the R23 Championship match between London Broncos RL and Goole Vikings RLFC . The Vikings gave their all, but in what will have been by far the strongest side most of them have played against, they were mesmerised by a Broncos outfit intent on havoc, as they cut loose 92-6.

Tremendous to see Alex Walker having such a great match for his 200th appearance for the club, with a Player of the Match-worthy four tries and an all-round top performance.

Action from the rescheduled R8 match between Hammersmith Hills Hoists RLFC and Wests Warriors in the National Conference South. A mid-week clash was always going to be a challenge for the amateur sides, but Hoists showed up fully committed and delivered a quality performance against a flagging and ill-disciplined Warriors.

Built on the back of a punishing defensive effort, Hammersmith cut loose, delivering another warning shot that they are intent on defending their title in the playoffs. Not a perfect display by any means, but statement wins over Wests and Bedford in successive matches have well and truly laid down the gauntlet.

Action from a physical and feisty encounter between London Broncos RL and Doncaster Rugby League in the Rugby Football League Championship.

Despite conceding a few tries right after the break, the home side again showed their fitness and full depth of their bench to stretch their legs in the final quarter. An enjoyable early evening of rugby league in glorious sunshine. Particularly enjoyed the shots off Ben in flight and Gairo giving a smile direct to camera. Cheers, lads.

Action from London Broncos RL as they continued their undefeated run this season with a scintillating 78-16 win over Hunslet. PNG flyer and fan favourite Gairo Voro dazzled everyone with a club record seven tries and 44 points - a feat enjoyed by all in attendance except the Hunslet players left in his wake.

Action from the Rugby Football League National Championship Southern match between perennial rivals Hammersmith Hills Hoists RLFC and Wests Warriors.

Played in glorious late evening sunshine, the game was evenly poised at two tries each in the first half, when an injury to Hoists player Benji McKay stopped play five minutes out from the break. The nature of the treatment meant they were kept immobile on the pitch until medical assistance arrived, during which time the match was abandoned by mutual agreement. Wishing Benji a speedy recovery.

Extended highlights from the Semi-Final of the 1895 Cup as London Broncos RL book themselves a place in the Final with a convincing but hard-fought 62-24 win over a brave Midlands Hurricanes. The final score didn’t fully reflect the effort from the home side, who held the Broncos for long periods and scored a few excellent tries.

Ultimately, the fitness, speed and class of the London side showed through, with slick passing creating breaks which were converted into points on a regular basis. Given the form they have shown all season, they will head to the Final as deserved favourites, although nothing will be taken for granted under the gaze of the inspirational Jason Demetriou.

A solid performance from London Broncos Women in their R5 Women's National Championship against a resilient but outgunned Hull FC. The visitors held their own for the first quarter, but the speed and strength of the Broncos saw them convert several line breaks into long-range scores. Hull never gave up and produced a couple of commendable try-saving efforts, chasing down breakaway Broncos over 50m or more.

Highlights from the R4 Women’s National Championship match between London Broncos Women and Swinton Lions RLFC. The Manchester side were too strong, structured and disciplined for an out-of-sorts Broncos, who had the better of the opening quarter but faded under lack of possession and scoreboard pressure.

A strong performance by London Broncos RL in their 1895 Cup Quarter Final against a dogged Doncaster Rugby League. The Londoners made a strong start before having to withstand a resurgent Dons side in the second half. The Broncos hit full stride in the final quarter, powering away to a convincing 52-20 victory.
