Reflections were trickier to find in Birmingham but a coffee break with Verity Milligan proved the catalyst for the weather to change for the better. An in camera triple exposure. No Photoshop or AI

When the conditions are favourable the building reflections weave and bob about on the surface of the water like liquid lace. In camera multiple exposures reveal something that the eye cannot see. A glimpse into the mesmerising Spirographic patterns that could exist if our eyes worked differently. I love the serendipity of in camera multiple exposures like this. It saves hours of work in Photoshop deciding which frames to use and I like not having to spend that time in front of a screen. Let the universe decide instead.

I’m often asked how much detail there are in such images and the answer is loads! They are incredibly sharp and print really well as large as 3m wide. Here I have shown the full image and two selected areas to zoom into to show pictures within pictures

Bank Holiday Monday at — I took and Steve on a Fleeting Reflections tour, but got there early enough to work for myself first.

This is a triple in-camera exposure. The ripple exaggerated beautifully by the multiple exposure.
