I will never not be amazed by talented people's clarity of vision through the chaos. The focus under pressure. The single minded drive to be the best they can be.

So here's the thing.
Ive seen great things in my 51 years. Things that if I shut my eyes and think, I can see again and again. Moments that will be forever with me. Saturday was one of those.

The most I've ever been alive was seeing my kid walk out for a National Final.
She's an individual (there's not another 10 people to carry you if you have a stinker). 13 years old with 100's & 100's of people watching. There is expectation and with that comes pressure.
I'm only writing this because even though I've told her (a million gazillion times) I don't think she understands what it's meant to me and anyone that knows her. If I write it down, I hope, she can understand the admiration and love we all have for her.
A National Final IS a big deal.

The sheer hard work and dedication she shows deserves to be recognised. The effort and way she puts herself out of her personal comfort zone is remarkable. The way she conducts herself while under all this pressure is amazing.

If she wants to carry on swimming, and it's always her choice, she will win a National title. Thats a certainty.

I guess, to summarise, when I grow up I'd like to be a bit more like my daughter

This mornings dog walk was beautiful. Not a soul to be seen. The sun rising and the birds singing. A little Skull 77 El Nino, a coffee and some peace. After the terrible last month I'm going to post more personal stuff on here.

WHAT.A.DAY.
Yesterday it felt AMAZING to be back shooting a wedding! Maddie and Rhys you both smashed it!
Your friends and families were epic and I didnt stop laughing and smiling all day!
The relief was evident to see that you could finally tie the knot!

Remember . . . ITS COMING HOME!! 😉
