Brrrr...it's chilly out but the gorgeous autumn colours are well on their way which must mean it's time for photos in the woods! Still have a few weekend slots available for Autumn and Christmas photography sessions but they're going quickly. Let me know if you'd like to book a session. £220 for a session including all edited images.

If you’re London based and interested in The Beatles and/or photography do pop along to the (fairly) newly re-opened National Portrait Gallery to see Paul McCartney’s photographs. They are wonderful! Photos similar to what you’ve seen a million times but this time through Paul’s eyes - crowds of fans from the aeroplane window, baggage handlers protecting their ears from the roars of fans, being chased through the streets from a car’s rear window , all eyes and cameras on them, the feeling of intimacy as you see a bunch of friends in their early 20s living a dream. Only on until Sunday!

Some of my favourite moments...

Photos to frame - "eyes open, looking this way"..the shots that people get a photographer for, where everyone carefully considers what to wear - they may be on a wall or the mantle piece for a long time! There is absolutely, great value in these, BUT, the moments captured in between, when the performance is dropped, but the photographer is still on... These are the ones that trigger an emotional response. These are the ones that show the personality, the relationships, the true affection, the actual fun. And these are the ones that will make you genuinely smile for years to come. And that is why you should get a photographer.

After a super busy summer of family photoshoots, I had a break from photographing other families on the bank holiday and had a beautiful walk along the Parkland walk with my gang. Urban nature! My favourite. If you'd like to book an autumn shoot, get in touch. The woods are looking gorgeous and ready for families to have some fun in. x

Hope everyone is okay and staying safe!
Not much photography work going on here with 3 kids at home. But still taking photos everyday; mostly at home, documenting our everyday - the things I take for granted - the reflection of my son in the KitchenAid as he mixes green icing for his cake, the action shot playing in the garden and the kids chatting to family on Zoom...
It’s such a crazy time and the days sometimes feel they roll into one but taking photos of our everyday really helps. Even looking back now, I can see each day has something special to take from it.
And when all this is over, I’ll really love having all these moments, that feel mundane now, captured to reflect on.
So, try and get in the habit of taking at least 1 picture a day so when you look back on this time you’ll have that record.
As my kids keep telling me “this will be in history books in the future!” And it’ll be cool to have a record of how it impacted on you!
