What a beautiful autumnal day we had for Niall, Jen and all their amazing friends and family. London was the backdrop for this very cool, laidback wedding. We started with a beautiful ceremony at Abney Park Chapel before sinking back a few Guinnesses at to celebrate their Irish heritage. Before moving on to great food and celebrations at the Coach and Horses in Leyton. Too many beautiful moments to share on one post, but I look forward to sharing more soon!

I am here to tell all the wedding day stories: the loud and the quiet ones.
The pausing in the portrait session to have a moment with the cows one.
The first kiss one.
The getting on the dance floor with your best friends one.
The trying to find the last bit of confetti one.
The four-year-old who doesn't care it's your wedding day one.
The checking your ring to make sure it really did happen one.
The dirty wedding dress after an amazing day one.
The searching for the last bit of cake one.
The guitar-playing procession down the street one.
Finally, the juxtaposition of getting ready against a rap backdrop of a rap music video.

I haven't shared a couples portrait session for a while. I had lots of lovely ones over the last year, so I thought it would be nice to post a few over the coming weeks. Today, we have a super lovely and chilled Tom and Gace from the USA. It wasn't just an "engagement shoot" but an actual engagement, as Tom planned to propose 🫣💍. Thankfully, she said yes 😅 and they lived happily ever after hehe. I have actually posted this on the website as well. Confetti is from the Latin confectum, with confetti, the plural of Italian confetto, small sweet. It relates back to the pagan times when different cultures would toss grains and sweets during special occasions. These days, we throw everything from dried rice to confetti cannons. It symbolises love and the wedding guests' ability to shower them in love after the ceremony. It also marks the transition from formal ceremony to party and celebration. There is no right or wrong way to do it. So do what works for you and enjoy the photos that come out of it!
