You have to show you can do the job before you book the job. To catch a creative director’s eye, your spec work needs to look like a real campaign.

Here is the quick framework I used for this H&M Man project:

📝The Plan: Focus on creating timeless editorial imagery over short-term trend cycles. Build out structured mood boards before you step on set.

📷The Shoot: Capture an authentic rawness rather than forced grit. Pair casual apparel with clean, structured elements to elevate the brand’s aesthetic.

🖥️The Edit: Keep product colors crisp and accurate. Then, post it!

Show them you can do the job before they hire you.
