A few years ago I was doing some filming for and techtoys360

We were tasked with filming the new Aston Martin DB11 at the headquarters in Warwick. After a few hours of filming beauty shots of the car, we asked if we could get some driving shots of the DB11 out in the open.

Expecting them to supply a driver I asked who was going to be driving the DB11 and they responded ‘oh we thought you wanted to take it for a spin’. I tried to hide my excitement and replied, ‘ah yes of course, that’s right, I’ll drive!’

For the next few hours my friend and I drove around the countryside at high speed in a brand new DB11 capturing awesome content of this amazing car.

This is a screenshot from the drone footage I captured on the day.

When my good friends asked me to get aerial shots of on their trip to the Iberian Pole in Madrid, I knew this was going to be an adventure that I couldn’t miss.

The brief was to document the Turner twins (Ross and Hugo) trip from London to the Iberian Pole in Madrid for and . Their goal was to ride the whole way using which they would need to stop and charge along the way.

I would be travelling with my mate and incredibly talented DOP, Andi Hampton. Between us we were responsible for documenting this adventure through film and photography, sending daily content and updates to Breitling and Belstaff for their social campaigns.

We travelled 2,535 kilometres through England, France and Spain stopping 26 times to charge the bikes which took a total of 59 hours. After 8 days of riding we finally reached the Iberian Pole with dusty clothes and sore bums! The cost of charging the bikes over the whole trip cost less that £15.

The campaign was a massive success, providing our clients an exciting narrative to share with their followers, increasing brand awareness, engagement and loyal customers.

Another car commercial I shot recently for filming the awesome Mitsubishi L200.

We were able to capture some really cool shots of the L200 using our drones and I love how the orange colour pops against the green grass.

Having a moving subject to focus on when flying a drone is great fun but also brings a lot of challenges for more dynamic shots. It takes a lot of practice and planning to be able to fly the drone backwards at speed, avoiding any obstacles, while keeping the car in focus and in frame.

Thankfully we have lots of experience filming cars and the shoot was a massive success. No drones were hurt in the making of this film.

We followed the twins from London all the way down to just outside of Madrid. My good friend and I documented the trip and drove alongside them for the adventure.

Because the bikes were electric we had to stop several times to charge them up, but the whole trip cost them around £15 in electricity which is incredible.

Check out the Birdveiw website to see a 1 min edit of the film.

Here are some drone shots from a commercial I filmed recently with . We were filming the new all electric Vauxhall E-Corsa. The 100% electric engine glides from 0-60-mph in just 7.6 seconds and can go 209 miles on a single charge.

There are so many benefits to electric cars and it’s exciting to think about a future with less harmful emissions and quieter cities.

Drones are capable of seeing the world from another perspective. The technology has advanced so quickly that we are now able to fly the drone with amazing precision, enabling us to capture shots that only a few years ago would have been impossible.

Here are a few clips from a recent job I did for a large client, filming in a quarry. I love the perspective of following the crushed rocks along the conveyor belt until they fall onto a pile below.

Whatever the industry, drones capture images from another perspective and with a good pilot, there is no limit to what is achievable.

I was recently asked to capture some footage of the final piece of roof being fitted at Koko in London. This is a screen grab from the footage which was shot with the new Mavic Mini 2.

Because of its small size and light weight, we were able to safely and legally fly in a congested area that with a larger drone would have been much more difficult and dangerous.

The image quality from this little drone is incredible and has opened up many more filming opportunities for us going forward.
