The Game Plan: After your ceremony, I’ll follow you out, then head back to your guests to organise them into two lines and let them know to throw the confetti up, rather than at your faces! 🎉⁠

Pop the confetti into buckets/baskets and nominate two I Do Crew members to hand it out.⁠
⁠
⁠How much confetti? You want to order enough for a handful per guest...and then double it! ⁠You can never have too much! ⁠

Now for the Confetti 101: The do’s and the don’ts⁠ ⁠

🚶‍♀️Walk, don’t sprint - I cannae run backwards 🤣⁠
🎊 The bigger the confetti, the better the photos! & biodegradable is even better!⁠
🙌 Get your hype squad involved! Your most enthusiastic friends should be at the start and the end for maximum confetti chaos!⁠
👀 Look up, not down! It’s confetti, not a surprise rainstorm!⁠
💃 Loosen those shoulders and enjoy the moment! You just got married!⁠
⁠👾But seriously and most importantly order more confetti!⁠

I always suggest this to my couples — once meals and speeches are done, we sneak out for a quick 10 minutes with your best people for some silly, joy-filled photos you’ll actually love.⁠

Meanwhile, your guests are in full post-dinner chill mode (wine in hand, borderline comatose), so you’re not missing a thing. 😉⁠

11 years ago tomorrow I met my husband for a cuppa in .uk (after meeting on OG Tinder) 🔥 ⁠

We met outside Waterloo station. We spotted each other on opposite sides of the road and knowing he’d seen me I didn't want to turn around to walk to the crossing so I risked crossing the road an almost got hit by a bus. ⁠
⁠
On our second date we talked about how clumsy we both are for about fifteen minutes, I then demonstrated this by falling flat on my face. ⁠
⁠
Fortunately, neither deterred him. ⁠
⁠
And here we are, married, home owners and paw-rents to an extremely mischievous cat who is rightly named Moriarty. ⁠
⁠

1 - Do absolutely nothing. Seriously, take it all in, soak up the moment, and spend some quality time celebrating with your person!⁠

2 - Get excited about your dream wedding vibes! Are you feeling barn and boho? Maybe Asylum Chapel rustic, a grand Manor house, or a blank canvas studio where you can let your creativity run wild? (Psst, Pinterest is your new BFF for this!)⁠

3 - Write your guestlist. This will help you figure out how big your venue needs to be—and trust me, it’s a game changer when narrowing down options.⁠

4 - Make your “can’t compromise” list. Is exclusive use a must? Accommodation? Vendor flexibility? A drinks package that your crew will rave about? Write it all down so you know what’s non-negotiable.⁠

5 - Start venue shopping! Hit up open evenings and check out venues online. Bonus: most open evenings have vendors who’ve worked there before, so you can start dreaming about your team!⁠

Smoke bombs never go out of style, in my opinion. They add a fun, unexpected pop of colour and are one of my absolute favourite ways to capture couples truly having fun on their wedding day.⁠

Want to know my take on wedding songs... because they might be right up your street! ⁠🎼

I am a BIG music lover, so I thought I would round up a few epic suggestions that I've heard at weddings or had at my own! ⁠
⁠
For my wedding, we walked down the aisle to Lover by Tay, played on the trumpet by my friends patner who's actually one of the trumpet players from the opening scene in Love actually (humble brag). And our first dance song was Riptide by Vance Joy. Chosen because they are personal to us and hold so much meaning to hear them on our big day. ⁠
⁠
So my ultimate top tip for choosing your wedding songs is to play tunes that you and your partner LOVE and mean something personal to you! ⁠
⁠
But if you want a few ideas and suggestions - here we go 👇⁠

- Walking down the aisle - All You Need Is Love - The Beatles ⁠
- First dance - Everlasting Love - Love Affair ⁠
- Dancefloor filler - Shut Up And Dance - Walk The Moon ⁠

These fab designs for S&A's Pokemon-themed wedding were gym badges and they turned it into a game for their guests to try and collect the whole set of table numbers - so dual purpose, I love it! ⁠
