NEW WORK. What a lucky fu**er, to be commissioned to travel the breadth of the Scottish Highlands. Following the NC500 route I turned left at Inverness and just drove.

Once you get to Apple Cross. (The first stop on the route) I found myself driving 2 miles, stopping, getting out, taking countless pics and back in the van, drive another mile, get out, take countless pics, get back in, drive a mile, get out… and so it continues. Driving 500 miles around the Highlands as a photographer is a two week adventure.

This is Durness Beach. No filter. Just a long exposure and a beautiful sunset.

I have never been to Southwold before but always heard great things about it. A classic British sea side town, but clean, quirky interesting shops and a brewery to boot. Absolutely loved the vibe. Long walks along the beach. It was a little wet and wild but that’s normal right ? For Britain. You can see the pier to the left with the waves crashing alongside. I love landscapes like this. All day long.

The quirk and bemusement of it couldn’t be any more British sea side if it tried. The beach, the tired old pier, the mass of amusement arcades, the barrage of police, the try hard fish and chip shops, the cotton candy, multi coloured sugar rush slushy shops. The endless supply of 2p machines and the constant battle of seagulls swooping in.
