Adding some tear sheets from the book Still Open - in the absence of feeling inclined to wander down the high street i've been flicking through the book of work I made over 15 years ago - not sure how many are still open today!

This will be my third trip to Tanzania.
Sharing skills and enhancing life opportunities for those with very little.
I'm raising money for equipment and materials to teach photography.
Any donations are always greatly received - not just by me - but by a whole community.
£25 could buy someone a second hand camera and set them out of a fulfilling career.

I'm starting to think about my annual trip to Tanzania this summer to work with the wonderful people of Ukerewe Island in Lake Victoria with the charity Standing Voice.

The aim of the trip is to inspire and create opportunities for those with and affected by Albinism.

This is my favourite picture from last years trip.

This is Elizabeth one of the photography workshop participants.

On the way back from a group field trip on the island we were invited to join a wedding.

People with Albinism have traditionally be mistreated, abused and feared by the general population.

Not here.

We were invited to dance, chat and drink beer.

This picture, for me, sums up more than what I can teach with my photographic knowledge. It shows someone who previously may have been shunned being embraced, celebrated even, by her fellow community.

And that is why i'll be returning.
