There's a common assumption that making video more affordable means accepting lower quality. In our experience, the opposite is usually true.
The most cost-effective video projects we work on aren't the ones with the smallest budgets. They're the ones with the sharpest planning. A clear brief, a defined audience, a shoot designed for repurposing from day one — that's where the real savings come from. Not from cutting corners.
One well-planned shoot can produce a hero film, social edits, vertical cuts, quote cards, stills, and behind-the-scenes content. The cost per asset drops significantly. The content lasts months instead of days. And the return becomes far easier to justify internally.
AI and virtual production can help too — not by replacing what a skilled team does on set, but by making the surrounding workflow faster and more efficient. Transcription, captioning, localisation, research — all of it can be leaner without touching the creative quality.
The brands getting the best value from video aren't spending less. They're wasting less. And that's a very different conversation.
