Whilst earning my Ba Hons Degree in Digital and Lens Media, I worked with professional photographers based in London as an assistant. Which I carried on with after I left University. In my opinion you can't get better knowledge than first hand experience in the industry. Being involved in the commercial industry is great, it means I gained all sorts of fundamental skills, met some great peers and worked with some amazing and influential people. My Job has taken me across the country and the world, doing all sorts of wonderful things. I decided to use what I have learnt over the years and start out on my own. As you can see I have had some great opportunities, and enjoyed every minute of it. The wedding photography started while I attended University. I worked weekends throughout most of the summer with a well established Wedding Photographer, based in Hertfordshire. We shot two seasons side by side then I began shooting solo under the company name. When I finished University, I started my own company and began booking weddings of my own almost instantly through friends and family. Over the years my client base has grown purely through recommendations, which is amazing, and I am very thankful to all my customers who have recommended me to friends and family. I have constantly become busier every year my business grows. The at home family portraits is a fairly new venture of mine established in 2011. I have my own portable studio which I bring along with me, we can do outfit changes and even invite those very proud grandparents! The family portraits are great, especially the kids I love capturing their expressions, and the toddlers defiantly keep me on my toes!
