This is a bit of a honesty post.
I hope I won’t bore you too much.
I always wondered how much, or if anything, should I share from my personal life on my “Business” Instagram/pages.
Today I have decided that I will. Why not. It’s part of me. It’s what makes “me”.
Patient, caring & gives me understanding into lives of other mum’s/family entrepreneurs.
I have two young children & my younger daughter started a reception today. Only par time, for next two weeks. It’s a step to my “working” freedom, more flexibility in terms of the working hours. Once she starts full-time anyway.
The last 6 months haven’t been easy. Actually, it has been incredibly hard, especially since I was allowed to shoot, but there was no school or nursery.
I have spent many nights editing & I still do. Have to catch up with the backlog & deliver all the galleries on time, as promised.
I do know things will get easier. I will work hard during the day and hope to have more free time with my kids in the afternoon once they finish school.
Sounds like a plan 😀Let’s see how it all turns out.
To all the mums & dads entrepreneurs - keep up the good work! No one said it’s going to be easy. And it’s not. But there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Hold on tight, it’s definitely a bumpy ride 😊

I still can’t quite believe it’s September!
Some might have had holidays, they are fully recharged & eager to start working.
Some, especially the parents, will have actually found the last 6+ months very challenging & they are ready for new beginnings. And some “grown” up time. I fully understand how you feel by the way ;)

Tips how to take Temporary Photos of your Products 1. Use Your Smartphone Camera - they are pretty good these days - ultimately the final result has a lot to do with the correct lighting 2. Use natural light where possible - nice soft light, no crazy shadows will help when taking photos of your products! 3. Fill in your shadows - use a reflector on the opposite side to your light 4. Use Portrait Mode on your Camera - Give your products depth and the “fashionable blurred” background 5. Post processing - edit, edit, edit - lift up your highlights or shadows, adjust contrast & saturation, add sharpness, edit warmth - have a play & see what works the best! 6. Show Variety of Images - from distance & close up, Portrait mode & Normal Mode - whatever works the best! Similar can be applied to a headshot-selfie.
