Site visits are such a useful visual tool to aid the planning process for many wedding vendors. In the heart of London’s Westminster, really captivated me.

Sometimes, photos on the internet do not do the venues justice and it is often far better to pop along to really grasp a feel for the venue ahead of time.

On this day, I met with my clients, the commercial events coordinator at the venue and some of my clients’ chosen vendors who’ll play vital roles in making their day super special.

This is why I found the site visit helpful:

🔦 I was able to grasp a feel of the lighting and acoustics of the event space, giving me an idea for any additional lighting that may be required and plan for capturing audio (especially for speeches).

📝 Discussing the general idea for the day helps me to assess time (and the allocation thereof) to ensure coverage remains comprehensive. This is where my type-A brain starts to generate a rolling list of strategy notes.

📐 Exploring allowed me to visualise filming angles from ground and gallery level, which aids my earlier point around comprehensive coverage. This will allow me to determine whether there is (or isn’t) a requirement for additional staff (feeding into strategic planning again).

💭 I was able to find out more about the venue and whether there are any restrictive areas and seek relative necessary filming permissions (if any).

🧭 Explore the surrounding areas for the picturesque portrait locations (from a filming stance of course).

Although not all venues require site visits, but they do come in handy. If you’re not able to attend a site visit, see if the venue has a virtual online tour instead.

I cannot wait to film here over the summer and watch how the concert hall transforms into a cinematic wedding reception of dreams.

Not my usual wedding-based post but this is one adds to my own core memory bank.

Kali & I met circa. 2004 as two pre-teens navigating high school. Over twenty years later, she shared with me that she was expecting her first baby. I cried with the fulfilment of joy that you do when you realise that you’re coming full circle, after sharing the news myself for the very first time only a decade prior.

For your dearest and most treasured friends, you want to see them growing, elevating and becoming the most successful versions of themselves, in life and in love.

With so many memories over the past two decades (the good, the silly and the crazy) this one for sure beats all of that 🥰

I cannot wait to shower your bubba with so much love that Aunty Lou has to give.

Thank you for asking me to capture this milestone for you both. I would say yes again and again for you. You both are going to be the most incredible, adventurous and fun-loving parents.

AND the twins have gained a new bestie 🫶🏽

Second shooting is always an incredible experience, especially with being able to offer support to the lead photographer on days that require simultaneous attention within the order of the day.

Don’t mind the chewing 😂 I was focusing (at least you can’t hear it!)
I’m definitely swapping to mints now!

Before the vows… before the rings… there was friendship.

The kind that the wonderful Celebrant Helen of reads about in this beautiful ceremonial poem.

It really makes for deep thinking about how important it really is to build a foundation of friendship before we enter the very next chapters of our lives that unequivocally becomes the everlasting love that many of us dream of, pray and hope for ✨

Let me share a little secret with you 👋🏽

Wedding creatives want your day to be perfect for you and care deeply about client and guest experience, so much so that we end up unintentionally playing many roles before, during and after 😅

Thank you Danny for the BTS, you’re a rockstar!

It’s reviews like this that make me love what I do.

Back in 2024 A + K celebrated their love a year on from their Nikkah ceremony and so many emotions were felt on the day.

This unique pair have a bond so special, their characters are comical and everyone could see that they were clearly written for one another Allahumma barik.

Tears were shed during the speeches and my goodness, the poem that was written and read by A’s sister… Let’s just say, I wanted their family to adopt me after that 🥹
