This was one of my favourite properties of the year.

Why? Because the seller knew how to declutter. Because she was looking to move overseas she had already cleared out everything she didn't want to take with her.

Her aesthetic was also simple, scandiesqe which I was there for.

What's behind the magic of property photography? Hiding and moving shi... I mean stuff 🤣.

Every seller I visit I first send over a video giving hints and tips on how to make their property presentable.

Pretty much everyone responds with 'great, but mine can never look like that, I have too much stuff!'...

That is pretty much true for everyone. Unless you're a die-hard minimalist everyone has stuff out and about. Just a fact of life, especially in single or two-bed apartments post-lockdown.

Behind every great photo of a property is most likely a pile of stuff crammed into a closet, hidden behind the bed or in some cases, in their building hallway.

Whatever the method, it makes a difference. Getting a property decluttered for photos makes a huge difference on its attractiveness to prospective buyers.
