This 110-Year-Old Truck Has Six Wheels and a Wooden Body

Originally built in 1916, this REO Speed Wagon has been transformed by automotive craftsman Gary Wales into “Lucky Buck” — a six-wheeled, one-of-a-kind creation dubbed the REOAK. Combining the original REO chassis and running gear with an Oakland six-cylinder engine, it features a hand-built mahogany body inspired by the 2020 McLaren Speedtail, adorned with approximately 1,200 carefully aligned brass screws. Even the details are unconventional, from a cleverly hinged bonnet to dashboard panels repurposed from a coffee table. What began as a rusting old truck is now a wonderfully eccentric automotive creation built to make people smile.
