**LONDON**

Snippets of London... it's been a crazy busy week with both Paris and London (over 130,000 steps tracked).

We didn't think things could get much busier than Paris but then we got to London. The amount of people and cars and sirens and more people ...

We left Paris early catching the Eurostar via the tunnel to London. Successfully navigated the underground to our hotel which is right on the Thames next to Tower of London.

Caught a cruise boat to Westminster, "Harry Potter" walking tour, and then to West End to see "Hercules". Brilliant show!

And that was day 1.

Today almost as busy. Train to Buckingham Palace, some walking, bus tour, more walking, "Jack the Ripper" walking tour, Tower of London...

Tomorrow we catch up with Neil's British cousins!

Only a couple more days before we are en route home.

Gotta go home for a rest!

**EIFFEL TOWER**

Everywhere we go in Paris we see the Eiffel Tower from different views, even from our hotel room we can see the top section.

And we wanted to see experience the Eiffel Tower at night so we climbed 674 steps to the 2nd floor and then the lift took us to the summit.

Such a spectacular view of the city lights at night.

Then back down the bottom we waited for the hour when the sparkly lights would twinkle for 5 minutes.

**NOTRE DAME**

The first place we visited in Paris was the Notre Dame Cathedral. After dropping off our bags and returning the hire car early in the morning, we walked around 5kms along the River Seine from our hotel.

It was a good time to go as it wasn't too busy. Only part of it is currently open to the public while it is still being restored after the 2019 fire. We saw it the next day from the water during our boat cruise, the construction and restoration at the rear of the church is ongoing.
