Faro, Portugal

When wanting to visit Algarve you’ll most likely fly to airport in Faro. But Faro looks completely different than other popular places in Algarve (like Lagos or Albufeira), there are no cliffs here. To go to the beach you need to take a boat (the first one is about 9am and the last one 6pm, approximately every 30 minutes).
But Faro is definitely worth visiting. 1-2 days are just perfect.

Below a few pictures I took during my trip there 😉

I used to think that Poland is boring, that everything there is grey, but I was mistaken. That reminds me of Albert Einstein’s words:

„There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.“

You just need to choose. When you choose to live as though everything is a miracle you will find colours. Just have a look around 😉

This is Lastours. You probably haven’t heard of it, and neither have I(at least before coming to France). That came up as a really nice surprise. My plan was to visit Carcassonne and then just try to see what’s around. From one of my roommates at the hostel I’ve learnt about Lastours. In this village on a hilltop four castles are located (in my picture you can see three of them).
But it’s not so easy to get there unless you have a car. There are no trains going there, abd I couldn’t find a bus either. Lastours is 16km from Carcassonne and the way is most of the time going uphill. But I was motivated to see it so I packed some food and water to my backpack, got up early and started walking 🤷🏻‍♂️
Because on my way I was exploring a lot it took me almost 5 hours to get there, but it was worth it. 16km turned into 24km and then I went for a 2 hour hike. By the time I got off the hilltop I was already so tired I really didn’t want to walk back. Thankfully I got lucky, I met an English couple at the castles and they were driving to Carcassonne. So I asked them and they gave me a lift 😄
Being tired and desperate really makes it easier to talk to people, however you need to be careful not to appear crazy 😂
Have you ever tried hitchhiking? What’s your experience from traveling this way? 😉

Hey,
If you read this you probably know me already. I’ve always liked creating and expressing myself with art, but let’s just say I was a bit too insecure and had some other problems along the way. But I’ve never stopped trying to somehow follow my dreams. And this is why I am here now 😁

Two years ago just a few days after graduating from uni I went to London for 2 weeks, and I’ve been living in London since then 😂 I went from dancing, through drawing, architecture, guitar and psychology to doing photography (and actually making money with it)- I know it’s quite crazy 😜

This summer I went a step further and decided to fully follow my heart and start traveling. Struggling with money gave me some ideas that turned into great adventures. No money for a train? No problem, I can hitchhike or maybe even… walk?

There was a lot going on so I’ll just mention few things, and I’ll write about each of those adventures in later posts.

So this summer I:
- hitchhiked in France
- visited 8 cities/towns in Italy
- walked from Pisa to Lucca (total of 30 km that day with about 25kg in my backpacks 😎)
- used obstacle coarse race as an excuse to organise a family trip to Polish, and Czech mountains (I finished 26km race in Owl Mountains on Saturday and 9km race in the same place the following day 💪🏻. Monday was already all about photography)
- accidentally walked to a quarry where visitors are not allowed 🙈 (I only realized it after leaving the quarry!)

I didn’t just go to obvious places, I also explored what’s in between gave myself a chance to see what regular travelers miss.

There’s so much I want to tell you about those adventures, but I’ll do so in my later posts and on my blog (still in the making). And as I continue to explore it I will share the way I see, and my stories from the places I visit.

So hang on, there will be more 😄

Below is a photo I captured on a countryside in Poland, in a village populated by less than 400 people. This is my mom’s special place so I wanted to capture it properly. This is what came out of that, I hope you like it as much as I do. (The colours are real!)
