Wakefield is set to be the first city to welcome the UK AIDS Memorial Quilt, outside of London, with the work on display at this summer in partnership with UK AIDS Memorial Quilt Partnership.

As part of the wider city‑wide presentation, YSP will display 4 panels from the piece from 3-7 June, alongside other partner venues throughout the district.

The UK AIDS Memorial Quilt consists of 42 quilts and 23 individual panels, representing over 384 individuals affected by HIV and AIDS and is part of the world’s largest community art project.
