What an amazing service Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance provides. Here's the AgustaWestland helicopter and crew at Lingfield Park Racecourse. I was taking photographs for the Annual Members Meeting, where the crew landed to meet their members, governors and visitors.

Here's my go-to gear for events - my FujiFilm mirrorless system.

I have four main lenses coupled to an or backup body.

My XF 16-55mm f2.8 R LM WR is my solid choice for all-round flexibility in perhaps unfamiliar environments, and whilst it's a larger lens it's also weather resistant, sturdy and benefits from an f2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range.

My XF 55-200mm f3.5-4.8 R LM OIS is my telephoto zoom. Needless to say, the chance to capture details and conversations from afar, without being close enough to interrupt, sees this old friend get regular use.

My XF 23mm f1.4 R is a wonderful prime. The fixed 23mm focal length means you need to get in close for the best results, whilst the the option to open all the way out to f1.4 makes it brilliant for indoor spaces in low light, where I need the wider angle and want to avoid flash.

My XF 56mm f1.2 R is an absolutely sublime lens. With the longer focal length of 56mm, it's perfect for flattering portrait shots. And it opens all the way out to f1.2. 1.2!! Although you need to be careful with that narrow a margin for focusing. Also this is a great lens for street photography, but that's a whole different story.

I love all my lenses.
