New to the collection: Sinclair

Designed by Rudolf Fränkel and completed in 1939, this Grade II listed Modernist house still holds its original soul. Steel windows, period ironmongery, fitted furniture and intact 1930s bathrooms and kitchen.

Clean geometry. Warm brick. Light pouring through extensive glazing onto terraces and garden.
Over 3,000 sq ft of generous rooms and wide circulation, so crews and kit move freely. Interiors shift from pale and neutral to rich with character, giving several looks in one location.

A close-up of ‘Upperton’

One of our firm faves on our books. Not sure we are allowed faves but here goes.

Tucked into a hidden valley in the South Downs, this was once a rambling farmhouse. The architect-owner rebuilt it as a modern take on the ruins of a Roman villa. Recycled brick. Raw concrete. Then antique tapestries hung against it all.

That tension is the whole story. Hard against soft. Ancient against futuristic. Every doorway hands you a new frame.

Secret stairways. White oiled floorboards. Woodland pressing in at every window.

Long drive approach, easy parking, four double bedrooms, and fully propped exactly as you see it.
