At this time of year, when temperatures hover between 0 and 10 degrees, an outdoor bo***ir portrait might look a little… chilly.

As a musician, Mia came into the shoot with her guitar, unintentionally.

It just clicked that we should have it as part of the shoot, as it is an extension of who she is. That stillness of her and the guitar just transfixed me. I edited it in black and white - there’s something about the quiet power of black and white—it strips everything down to emotion and shape. No distractions, no noise. Quietly connecting between body and instrument, soft curves, hard edges. And the soul.

Better still, this image won Bronze in Best Photography Awards in the n**e category. Another quiet but proud moment.

I’m happy to share that this image has won a Gold Award in the Glamour & Bo***ir category. 🥇

The award aside, what stays with me is the feeling this portrait carries — a quiet elegance, a gentle strength, and the kind of softness that speaks louder than words.

Bo***ir photography isn’t always about boldness. Sometimes, it’s about grace. Sometimes, it’s about honouring the parts of ourselves we usually keep hidden — not to expose, but to express. That expression can be powerful, romantic, or delicately vulnerable.

How much we choose to reveal is deeply personal — and every part down to individuals. For me, bo***ir is about creating space where someone feels seen, without pressure to be anything other than themselves.

It has been the longest time since I last posted on this account. I was in need of a re-set. Instagram kept blocking my posts, despite my content was about sharing women's beauty in an empowering and sensual way. There was never anything distasteful about them. I felt I couldn't reach out to women I would like to talk to.

International Women's Day is here - I thought this may be my prompt to re-start on this channel.

Every now and then I got asked: who would take bo***ir photos? My answer was straight forward - anyone who would like to appreciate their beauty and feel confidence about themselves. If your perception about bo***ir photography is about THOSE tacky photos, my bo***ir photography is none of that.

Bo***ir is a French word that means your private salon. Any photos taken in a private setting, in clothes that you would not wear in public (or in nudity), can be bo***ir photos. They can be for sharing, or can be for your (and your partner's) own eyes only. Just because you might be in lingerie doesn't mean they are cheesy. Far from that, expressing women in style and elegance are in my DNA. I create magazine worthy photos for everyday women, and I mean that.

So here we are, let me kick off with photos that are on borderline of bo***ir and beauty portraits. Let's just express and appreciate beauty.

What is your why?

Aileen was in my studio in between her chemotherapy and her major surgery in fight for breast cancer. We stamped her beauty with a series of portrait photos, and recorded the remarkable strength and positivity she radiated. I am thrilled that her surgery went well and she is in progress of recovery as this is posted.

Our true strength shines not when life is easy, but when we face adversity with a heart full of hope and determination.

My toast to the strong women who hold the unwavering will to overcome when our bodies are tested.
