Talisker Waterfall… At a 130m one of the highest single drop waterfalls in the U.K. tumbling off the cliff straight in to the sea….

But when it’s blowing a hooley the water doesn’t get to the sea, it gets blown back on to the clifftop in a very dramatic fashion.

I’ve never seen Tower Bridge open it’s gates… So I got really lucky seeing it happen from the fantastic view you get from the top of The Shard.

I decided London’s most famous bridge deserved a tricky & time consuming edit to really stand out, especially as the surrounding area in the shot doesn’t hold anything hugely significant asides of a glimpse of a few boats in St Katherine’s dock.

As the saying goes…

‘You wait for a bus and then two come along at once.’

Precision timed long exposure to get the buses dead centre of shot astride the ‘Underground’ sign & central to the steps/handrail leading down to the tube at Piccadilly.
(Also added a bit of B&W to direct the focus.)

Looking one way you have this view of Tower Bridge and if you turn 180 degrees the view of the Shard & surrounding buildings is pretty spectacular, especially at night… To be revealed in my next post! 😝
