It's day!!!

All packed and just setting off for Castle Donnington and I can't wait to be back in that field for a stacked lineup today!!

Been looking forward to this for months and just grateful I'm able to go and make it happen today. So stoked to be seeing Linkin Park headline Download to close out the 2026 weekend, along with bands like Bad Omens, A Day To Remember, The Pretty Reckless and The Pretty Wild!

Gonna be a long day with travel etc but I can't wait for an epic day of live music and to see my favourite band again!

All packed and organised ready for
2026 tomorrow!!

Was very touch and go if I was gonna be able to go but I've got some amazing people in my life that have helped which I'm grateful for. I can't wait for tomorrow, such a stacked lineup on the Sunday and of course, I cannot wait to see Linkin Park again back at Download as well!!

Got a few first timer bands I'll be seeing tomorrow which I can't wait for and then the big ones like Bad Omens, who I missed last year so it's gonna be great getting to see them on the main stage and Linkin Park to round off the day!

It's gonna be a long day tomorrow but I can't wait for it and it's been 2 years since I've done Download, so it's gonna be great to be back!

12th June 2001 - the original release date of Blink 182's Take Off Your Pants and Jacket!!

It's finally happened...Blink 182 released the 25th Anniversary of Take Off Your Pants and Jacket with the 6 bonus songs on streaming!

Mad to think this album is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. I remember buying it on CD when I was 11/12 and any chance I got, I was listening to this CD. Remember me and my friends in school listening to it loads, watching all the music videos and tried to learn some of the songs for bands we tried back then.

To me, this is one of the greatest albums ever and one of the best pop punk albums. It still holds up today and this album inspired so many generations of bands. Literally 10/10 from start to finish and for me personally, it's always had a special place and it was one of those albums that really impacted me as a kid and I've carried those songs with me all these years.

The bonus songs haven't been available for years but as part of this 25th anniversary, they're finally available on streaming as well as a cool merch run and vinyl for this celebration.

One of my favourites from these extra songs has always been "Don't Tell Me It's Over". One of the best Blink songs and it just sounds like that era even these years later and it just takes me back to being that kid and why I got into Blink. Just the dynamic between Tom and Mark on vocals, big chorus and Travis with those thumping, heavy drums.

Would've loved a 25th anniversary tour to hear the album live in its entirety but I'm just glad those bonus songs are on streaming and I'll definitely be getting that special edition vinyl at some point.

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love Blink and how important this album is, so it's been a great release day getting to relisten to the album again and those extra 6 songs!

Happy 25th Anniversary TOYPAJ!! 🖤

New video went up this morning, I will remember to share these in advance one day....for today's reaction I checked out personal new song "Live, Laugh, Love Los Angeles" and yes there is a saxophone in this one!!!

I've been really enjoying this new era of As It Is and this song is another belter and has got me even more hyped for this new self titled album dropping next month!

The only description that the band put on this music video is "Trigger Warning. America". It's quite a personal and real song but it's a song only a band like As It Is could release!

A new video went up today and for this one, I checked out awesome new song, A Girl Is Like A Piece Of Gum!!!

This is such a banger and it's become one of my favourite Icon For Hire songs. Love everything about it but that middle bridge section is one of my favourite IFH parts in any song they've released!

It's the start of the week and a new video went up today and of course, it had to be another reaction!!

I checked out the title track to their new album, Sanctuary and man this is pure Evanescence and what I've loved about this band since 2003!

The musicianship, big chorus and the insane vocal range of Amy Lee make this a stand out song on the album for me.

I've sat with this album for a few days and it gets better each time! Just a bit gutted their London date sold out as I would've loved to experience this album live!

Stand Atlantic at Slam Dunk Festival 2026 - 23/05/26

Getting down to the last few 2026 posts and bands I saw. One of my absolute favourites of the day was and they were in my top 4 bands I absolutely HAD to see at the festival!

I've only seen Stand Atlantic once at Download 2023 for the 20th anniversary of that festival, so it was kind of fitting I was seeing them at the 20th anniversary of Slam Dunk. They played on the Monster Stage and it was a truly unforgettable set. They covered all their albums during the set and even got to hear their new song, Velcro, live for the first time which was a real summer moment!

The sun was at its hottest when they played and they just brought all the energy, amazing songs, Bonnie was on fire and her vocals were incredible and they played with ferocity and were just firing on all cylinders!

Even got to hear Criminals live which was my first time and that's my favourite song from Was Here. It was so cool getting to see Bonnie do the screams live as well. I could've easily watched them for a full hour, they were that good.

This felt like the start of an exciting new era for STAT and feels like they're gonna be entering a real pop punk stage and I cannot wait. Their music has helped a lot so I had a good old sing along during their set and just was smiling the whole time!

So lucky I got to see them at Slam Dunk and loved every moment of it!
