The photo I got and love sometimes is not the photo I was expecting to get.
In this case I hoped I would have but wasn't sure it would have come out nicely.

Picture this: it is nighttime, roughly 10pm, you have been on your feet since 6am, jumping from location to location all day capturing the couple preparations, the ceremony and the reception.
You are tired, the couple is having the time of their life but they are tired too and you know there is one last thing that would make the gallery from nice to legendary: the night shot.
It is a long shot because they are on the dance floor and you don't really want to spoil their party but they are cool and they say yes.

Light behind them, and you pose them.
"Look at each other" or "Kiss" or "touch nose". Ok we got the good ones... Now let's see if I can experiment.
Slow the time. Boost the flash.
"Lift her up!"
Gotcha.
They laugh, they play.

I can direct.
I can experiment.
I can put all the effort a photographer can master.
But never I would have gotten those expressions without them.
My couples are always the masterpiece.
