It’s not always about weddings.

Yesterday was such a beautiful wedding. 🤍

A intimate celebration surrounded by family, with an amazing couple who was totally up for the photos. And honestly, I loved every minute of it.

The venue, Gunther & Co. in Baltimore, was fantastic. Great atmosphere, great music, delicious food, and spectacular service. Everything came together for a wonderful evening.

To the newlyweds, thank you for letting me be part of this new adventure—and this new “marriage.” 😉❤️

I wish you both nothing but the best in this new chapter.

And now… the fun part begins.

It’s not just the ceremony. It’s everything.

Getting ready. The nervous laughs. Being with your best friend. The little details. Walking into the church. The first look. The hugs. The tears. The celebration. The dancing.

It’s the whole story.

And I’m incredibly happy to be part of it.

Last year, I had the opportunity to photograph more than 50 weddings. More than 50 stories. Hundreds of people celebrating love, friendship, family, and life.

Wow. What an experience.

There’s something truly special about being surrounded by so many happy people and having the privilege of freezing those moments in time.

Nobody was looking. It lasted thirty seconds.

Nadie estaba viendo esto. Duró treinta segundos.

El farol se encendió solo. Alguien había dejado el ramo sobre la piedra y se había ido.
Fue solo un respiro. Un momento.
Nadie posó nada. Nadie me pidió esta foto. Y probablemente sea la que más me gusta de ese día.
Eso es lo que hago, y por eso empiezo esta serie: los momentos que duran segundos, que nadie está mirando, y que si no hay alguien con la cámara lista simplemente no existieron.
No los puedo planear. Solo puedo estar ahí, atento, y no llegar tarde.
Si se van a casar — aquí en Maryland o en Costa Rica — escríbanme. Quiero que sus treinta segundos existan.

I love people who notice the camera.

The ones who are present at an event, who feel its presence, look back, smile, pose, play along—and most importantly, enjoy the moment.

It doesn’t matter what the event is. When people connect with the camera, something happens. The photograph becomes more than an image; it becomes part of the experience.

Because being photographed should never feel like a chore.

It should feel like fun. 📸✨

Some people call it work.

I call it having fun with a Nikon in my hands. 😂

We talk about lenses, framing, composition, light, equipment, settings and editing…

But that’s only part of the recipe.

You also need atmosphere. Emotion. Attitude. And, of course… a little drama.

Because you can have the best camera, the perfect lens and beautiful light…

But if nothing is happening in front of you, there’s nothing to capture.

So let’s find the moments.
Let’s play with the light.
