Cowal Open Studios done and dusted. What a lot of work by the committee and how successful it all was.
Huge thanks to Sarah Ross-Thompson and Gill MacLennan for being such a major part in making the weekend so enjoyable at The Creggans (special thanks to Gill who looked after us so splendidly with lots of tea, biscuits and Cullen Skink)
Around 230 visitors over the weekend and I managed sales of both photographs and jewellery including this statement filigree necklace and some pendants and rings.
It was so good to see several visitors who previously had been to Tighnbruaich Gallery commenting so joyfully about my "Artists at Work" portrait exhibition which will still be on until 23rd October.

My "Artists at Work" project is completed in time for the exhibition at Tighnabruaich Gallery at the end of the month and into October.
I contacted some other artists on Tiree, where we will be on holiday later this year, regarding the possibility of continuing this theme further afield. Here is the response from one of the artists.....

Normally I hate being photographed and it would be a loud NO 😊 but your work is very sensitive and atmospheric – I really connected with it.

My recent foray back into B&W portraits has prompted me to delve into my archive photos. Here are a few - some from 20 years ago.

Well, at long last it's done and dusted. I have uploaded a new Photo book with B&W portraits of over 45 artists at work.- and with a stroke of genius I've given it the title of "Artists at Work".
All these portraits will be in an exhibition at the Tighnabruaich Gallery from 23rd September - during and beyond the Cowal Open Studios event - so do try to get along if you can.
The project isn't completed as I still have other artists to visit, but I ran out of time for the book printing
