Photographs from my degree show!!
Read the artist statement for some context :)
The work is video art so its quite hard to show this!
This piece was designed to look like a wall with a door giving the deceiving effect that the space you're about to walk into is quite large but as you step inside it becomes clear that it is a confined space with a screen playing my videos. The idea is someone could look so different on the outside to how they feel on the inside and the only way to know this is to step inside.

New video work! (it does get extremely loud towards the end so please be careful!)

The idea for this film came to my mind when I was lying in bed and my brain wouldn't shut off and I ended up working myself up way too much. The video being out of focus shows that internal feeling of how a person experiencing anxiety isn't in control and wouldn't see things clearly; then the repetitive nature in the sound is representing how worries keep going around your head and things get increasingly noisier making being in this state overwhelming

Okay so these photographs are inspired by Steve Rosenfield's "I'm not my ..." project. Here you can see these photographs represent some parts of me.
"I'm not my bad memory." My memory is terrible but oh well!
"I'm not my bad spelling." Okay I can't spell but being dyslexic has so many positives as well.
"I'm not my shyness." When I first meet people I'm shy because I don't really know what to say and make myself feel awkward but once I get over that I'm fine.

All edited using Lightroom which I've never used before so tell me what you think!
