“Careful Abishek he’s a scouser and you know what they’re like”

Funny thing I’ve noticed, when I first started travelling I’d say; “I’m from Liverpool, England”

Then people would go “ahhhh the Beatles” and I’d have to hopelessly sing along to whatever Beatles song they knew and smile.

But now they say “Ahhh Paddy the baddy” and I have to do Paddy’s walk out tune with the arm waving “dun dun dun dun dun, dun dun dun dun dun”.

But one thing every country knows is “You’ll never walk alone”.

Liverpool, as a small city, we’re fu***ng massive.

Well manned, keel felt good too. Leash was a bit long but other than that. He had a female tethered further back, must have been her day off.
Shortly after this video I was given a ‘Kazakh rafaello’, instead of chocolate though, it was fermented horse cheese. I was told it would be rude to refuse it, Cody didn’t have to try it though. I near through up in the guys face.
He actually sold these hats but at the time I thought they were just part of his various costumes.

The Taigan

Sorry to say it, given I was there for the Tazy championships, but I preferred the Taigan.

Had some really interesting messages from a variety of people about the Taigan. Below are some tidbits I can share.

There is an active program in the USA to preserve the Taigan.

There are estimated to only be 2,000 Taigans remaining.

There are only 50 known Taigans in the USA.

The Taigan has been DNA tested numerous times by enthusiasts to prove it is its own breed.

A trip to Kyrgyzstan is now brewing inside me 😬

Wish I bought a hat like that to bounce around Liverpool in man. Gutted.

One of a couple dogs that also worked fox and wolf.

I met a few dogs that I was told had Wolf blood in them multiple generations back and a gentleman had also shown me his attempt to cross his in-season bitch with a wolf, but she killed the wolf instead.

The hunting of wolves, foxes, deer, hare, rabbit and boar with dogs is legal in Kazakhstan.

They feel that in the near future Saiga Antelope will be opened up too, an antelope that runs 50mph. An antelope that shared the same steppe with the wooly mammoth. They move across the landscape in BIG herds and they have sharp hooves that tear up the grazing for cattle / horses / sheep etc. they’re causing big problems. Previously endangered but now in their millions, the Kazakh government is currently paying helicopter pilots to move them on in vast herds and government marksmen are shooting them too.

If Saiga hunting with dogs opens up, I’ll be straight back there, I can assure you of that.

Another nice Tazy from the Roe Coursing Championships.
