Finding piece in the process of self-improvement could be the most empowering experience in life.
One thing that can help in this situation is adopting a growth mindset. People with a growth mindset believe that talents can be developed with hard work. They embrace challenges and welcome feedback so they can learn from it, and they view failure as an opportunity.
Growth mindset improves self-efficacy – the confidence in your ability to handle situations – as well as self esteem.
Speaking about mental health is almost a trend these days but if you want real improvements in life, how about focussing on what you like instead of what you don't like/ Think of what you want to happen, not the other way around. 
I want to win > I'm afraid to loose. Massive difference. Period.
