A fresh look at an extraordinary landscape. 🌿

We recently returned to Wilder Doddington to capture the next chapter of its ambitious 400-year rewilding project—a long-term vision that will shape the estate's landscape for generations to come.

As one of Lincolnshire's finest Elizabethan houses, Doddington Hall and Gardens has been family-owned and carefully stewarded for over 400 years. Today, that legacy continues through a rewilding initiative designed to restore habitats, increase biodiversity, and create a richer natural environment far into the future.

At Frame27, projects like this are always a privilege to document. As landscapes across the UK evolve to support nature recovery and biodiversity, we're proud to follow and share the stories behind these long-term environmental initiatives.

We're excited to continue following and documenting this remarkable journey as it unfolds.

Welcome to Wetter Better 💧

Across the UK, many rivers have been straightened, wetlands drained and landscapes engineered to move water away as quickly as possible.

At Wilder Doddington, we’ve been working to reverse that story…

Over the last two years, we’ve been restoring freshwater habitats across the Doddington Hall Estate by creating new ponds, blocking historic land drains, reworking sections of the River Hobba and reconnecting it with its floodplain.

By holding water for longer, this work supports wildlife, improves water quality, builds resilience and helps reduce flood risk downstream.
