As well as capturing new memories, we also restore old ones too.

Restorations are something I've been working on for some time now behind the scenes, and only recently have I restored photographs close to my own heart, so I wanted to share the story with you.

This photograph is of a man who went by the name 'Billy'. He tragically lost his life in the Second World War, and he was the cousin to my late Nan. He was only married for a short time before sadly losing his life fighting for his country. Because of my Nan, a handful of photos of Billy have been kept in the family ever since.

I wanted to restore the photograph to allow his memory to live on for as long as possible. I don't change or alter the original photo in any way, as that in itself is a treasure. I restore photos digitally, allowing them to live on for longer, so memories and stories can stand the test of time.

This is the beginning of a new adventure, one which has been a long time coming, and I'm grateful for you all who are on this journey with me!
