I have always been passionate about photography, and I feel so lucky to have a career which I absolutely love, and which challenges and inspires me in new ways with every single shoot I do. I love shooting portraits in particular, whether it's photographing a beautiful bride walking down the aisle, capturing a tender moment between a new mother and a baby, or simply taking gorgeous pictures of my

own family whilst enjoying a day out in the countryside. My style is very much informal and relaxed, particularly when shooting a wedding - I like to remain as much in the background as possible to allow you to get on with enjoying your special day. I love to be guided by the people I'm working with so if you have a particular style or specific ideas for the type of photos you'd like me to achieve then please do let me know and I'll always be really happy to take these shots for you. Equally I'm very creative and confident in finding interesting angles and locations for all of my photo shoots, so if you're feeling lost and don't quite know where to start then I'm also happy to take more of a lead if you'd like me to - I'm very flexible and can give you as much or as little guidance as you'd like to make you feel comfortable during your photoshoot.

The wedding morning domino effect is real.

Here is a logistical secret from behind the lens: Aim to be fully dressed and "ceremony ready" 60–90 minutes before you actually need to walk out the door.

With the best intentions, hair and makeup schedules are planned down to the minute. But wedding mornings operate on their own timeline - buttoning a gown takes three times longer than you thought, the floral delivery arrives right as you're stepping into your shoes, and someone will inevitably misplace a buttonhole. When your timeline has zero breathing room, a 15-minute delay triggers a rush that steals energy from the rest of your day.

I often tell my couples it’s like preparing for an exam or a big interview: giving yourself that extra time allows you to fully relax and compose yourself, rather than rushing in at the last second. Plus, it naturally opens up the clock for stunning, unhurried photos with your bridal party and parents.

Think of this 60-90-minute buffer not as "waiting around," but as a transition zone. It protects the space for:

The Quiet Portraits: The gorgeous, calm "getting ready" shots where you actually look serene, not rushed.

The Unscripted Reveals: Giving you the emotional bandwidth to actually feel the moment when your parents or wedding party see you for the first time.

If you're thinking about changing into a second outfit for your reception, don’t just view it as a comfort choice. View it as a creative opportunity to completely shift the tone of your wedding day.

Your ceremony wardrobe naturally commands a certain level of poise, elegance, and posture (which looks stunning in your portraits!). But when you change into something shorter, sleeker, or more relaxed, your body language instantly shifts. You spin differently, you laugh harder, and you move without worrying about tripping on tulle or tearing a suit seam.

If you’re planning an outfit change, here is how to maximize the moment:

👓 Commit to the Accessories: Swap the veil for statement sunglasses, drop the tie, change the shoes, or pull your hair into a sleek reception pony. Make it a moment.
📸 Talk to me, your photographer: Tell them you want the shooting style to change, too. Request direct paparazzi-style flash, motion blur, and raw, high-energy candids to match the new look.
