Getting down low for the garlic.
My usual spot is a bit sparse this year except for this reliable corner.

The bluebells are well past their best, but misty Dockey Wood always delivers.
(Sorry about the screaming kids. Half an hour earlier it was just birdsong.)

No-one:
Me: Yes, there IS a 2026 calendar!

The gift that keeps on giving (for a year anyway) is back again for 2026. New photos, but otherwise it's the same as before.

(For the uninitiated: A3, ring bound with a hanging loop, heavyweight paper, professionally printed, shipped in Amazon-style packaging)

Also the same is the price: £10 each (reduced to £9 if you order before the end of September) plus £4 p&p per order.

Drop me a line if you'd like one and I'll send you my bank details.

Fame and Fortune!

This misty autumn view of a local woodland will shortly be featured* in Outdoor Photography magazine.

I doubt I could even find this spot again. It was a few years ago and I was wandering aimlessly. The similarity of the nearby silver birches and the distant silhouetted trees caught my eye, and there was a convenient path linking the two. The composition then just needed fine tuning to get the proportions right.

Outdoor Photography issue 317 is on sale from 24th April in all good newsagents.
* Well, near** the back of the magazine anyway.
** Ok, at the back. The last article.
