Instead of sending cards I am making a donation to C.A.R.I.A.D. They campaign, educate, support rescues and other animal welfare organisations, lobby and conduct meetings with people who can change the lives of dogs for the better.

The result of yesterday's amazing snow. My poorly boy Otis is so photogenic. He looks better than he feels on these pictures but it was nice for him to have a brief play in the snow he loves so much. He slept all afternoon and evening as a result.

The weekend has been devoted to our wonderful swan and signets. I am honoured to have been able to capture some memories. We are feeding them 3 times a day and on constant swan watch. What an incredible experience this has been. I have of course taken many pictures and these are just a few of the first edits. They will soon move on to pastures new and we will miss them and hope they stay safe.

Our swans have returned. Grabbed the camera, hurled myself into the nearest flowerbed for cover and managed to grab a few shots. They were quite a long way away as I didn't want to scare them. A bit more editing required - taking out some of the obscuring foliage (that's a good photoshop exercise for me) but for now, here they are. I love the way some of them get a lift on the back of mum or dad. sooooooooo sweet. We are truly blessed to have these guys back - special swan food already purchased.
