I can’t quite believe the email I got on Thursday. I got my first ever award with this shot of at !

I set myself a goal at the start of the year to start trying to push myself to enter awards that matter to me as a photographer, and one of the biggest ones for me was always a TIR. For many years I’ve focused on how to tell the story of my couples weddings as opposed to just taking the same old formal shots, so winning this award means so much to me. To have been selected as one of only 58 images worldwide out of 10,000 is unbelievable. Now to try and carry this feeling all the way through this wedding season and keep improving and growing to give my absolute best for my couples 🖤

If you’ve been following my stories lately, you’ll have seen I’ve been hitting the gym recently and building my strength at . As it’s the quieter part of the year, I decided to pop down with my cameras at a recent competition and snap a bit of the action. Something totally different for me, so it was nice to challenge myself and put some of the bits I’ve been learning about story telling into action from the workshop I did recently too.

True Romance is my absolute favourite film, so when asked me to be part of a True Romance–inspired shoot, it was an immediate yes. We took over part of and styled the coolest little corner—perfect for a rebellious, romance-fuelled elopement. All that was missing was the pie 🥰

Happy week of not knowing what day it is, eating all the cheese and chocolates, and reflecting on what this year threw at us!

Time for a bit of honesty, the back end of last year I’ve definitely ended up burning myself out a bit, so apologies for the radio silence on here. Having a holiday of a lifetime for Pete’s birthday was amazing, but timing was terrible for me, and I’ve been picking up the pieces ever since. I’ve finally stopped for a few days and starting to feel a bit more myself and thought I’d break the seal on posting on the grid for the first time in a while. So here I am, your travel loving, book obsessed, willing to lay on the ground for the shot, chilled out wedding photographer, feeling very vulnerable and honest while sat recovering on the sofa in my Oodie. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas ❤️❤️

Happy Halloween spooks! We’re still over in Seattle for this weekend, heading to tour the underground city today then seeing a Nightmare before Christmas show. But I couldn’t not share these beauties back to the grid again for your eyeholes. I hope you’re doing something suitably spooky tonight and having the best time 🖤

One of the things pretty much all of my couples say when I ask them why they booked me is that they loved my natural photos, and often they don’t make it to the grid because the algorithm doesn’t tend to favour them. So let’s show some love for some awesome relaxed wedding moments ❤️❤️

It might have rained so much the ducks were happy, but Amy & Elliot still had the most epic day at last weekend, and had possibly one of the best dance floors I’ve had all year (ending my night covered in tequila rose 🙈😂)
