I really enjoy taking these more emotional shots, it allows me to get creative with the background and overlay layers although barely any tweaking was needed for this wonderful model, know as Vally!

I really love my job, got to see these little barn cat cuties recently.

One of the little Black and white ones was obsessed with my camera and i was a little obsessed with them! - would have loved to have taken them home but alas, my princess Tilly would have packed their bags for them the second they came through the door!

So I have been a little quiet on this page.

It is never easy when your beloved pet falls ill and it has been no exception here for me.

I have taken time away from working photography to dedicate more time to the horse that i love so dearly. He really is the most amazing animal and my partner in chaos! He has followed me all around the country and through him I have met some amazing people that I now call my friends.

Over the years of our partnership we have met many many (oh so many) challenges, ones that we have worked to overcome but as he gets older - now being 25, not that he looks it! - we encounter more problems of the medical kind.

Currently he is being supported by the absolutely fantastic vets at Chine House Equine Hospital especially the wonderful Millie who knows him very well and helped him through a horrific bout of Colitis in spring last year.

He inspires me to continue creating through photography and artwork and i have more posts scheduled to appear over the next month so expect more content from me!

These pictures were taken after his summertime bath and boy does he shine 🥰🥰🥰🥰 25 years young and still being that chaotic ginger!

I am sure this little boy remembered me from last time, or maybe it was the camera 🤔 i like to imagine it was the former...

I am sure this little boy remembered me from last time, or maybe it was the camera 🤔 i like to imagine it was the former.

His owner called me back for a return shoot now that his poorly leg is almost nothing but a painful memory and he has started to expand on his education once again.

It was a very spontaneous visit but we made an afternoon of it, you never know, I may be free on an afternoon or evening for your companion!

How far would I travel to meet fluffy dogs? the answer - Teesside!
3 hours up the motorway from my usual stomping ground - well 4.5 if you count the traffic!

Taking this pooch on a walk through her usual park was the perfect way to make her at ease with a complete stranger pointing a camera at her.

My days are always packed with sessions when it comes to the longer trips, but that is completely fine with me. The more the merrier.

On long trips, i like to get at least 10 animals booked in for the day, even more if i can!

Throw back to where I met the wonderful and their handcrafted stall.
I kept seeing the most beautiful feather pins around the event and was thrilled to take some photos while i was a the stall. I will absolutely have to get one for myself next year!
Though i did walk away with a lovely keyring, it is a reminder of the day I had at the event every time I get my keys out. - that is what Rise Photography strives to accomplish, that little smile you get when you look at a photo or object that reminds you of a day you cherish.
