Nick and Montana 🧡

Gosh I love these two. We had so much and quite a lot of silliness. Wes Anderson inspired shots, giant cat head props, the most joyful facial expressions ever witnessed at a wedding. Just glorious. I’m really gonna miss this one.

Going back to work at 5 month postpartum shook me to my core. I had absolutely no idea who I was and the me that showed up for my couples before Daphne was born seemed to have disappeared. Being a wedding photographer means that you have to walk into a big event with confidence. You have to be able to manage people, watch out for moments and be on show at a time when honestly I just wanted to hide at home.

The only reason it felt anywhere near possible was because I knew that Daphne was in really safe hands. I’ve watched these two fall in love with each other. Simon’s the sort of dad who is gentle and calm. He’s managed separation anxiety screaming while I’ve been on the road. He’s reassured me when the introduction to nursery was bumpy and upsetting. He’s stepped up and has quietly held us both through this huge transition.

Im finding my feet again now. I’ve been really looked after by my couples over the last few months and I’m so grateful. I know there will be a time when I feel like I’m fully back. In the mean time, I’m trying to be kind to myself.

🌻 Milestones 🌻

Having done this job for a really long time now, I’m incredibly lucky to have clients who become friends and who keep booking me as their lives and families grow. Vadim and Natalia and I worked together for the 5th time yesterday. We’ve shot their engagement session, wedding, maternity for both boys and now this one. It’s the biggest compliment as a photographer when clients come back year after year. Such a pleasure, as always guys 🧡

Yesterday I got to work these these two lovely souls over at Salt House | Wedding Venue UK. Much laughter, many tears and some really great dancing. I really loved visiting Salt House - what a place! Definitely hope to be back there again soon.
