Call Out: High-Risk Missing Persons – Cannock area.

This afternoon, Staffordshire Search and Rescue Team (SSART) have been ask to support Staffordshire Police in the search for a high-risk missing person.

Our specially trained volunteer search teams are currently mobilising and preparing to deploy as part of the ongoing search operation.

SSART is made up entirely of dedicated volunteers who are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, ready to assist the emergency services in life-saving situations. We are a registered charity and receive no government funding, relying solely on the generosity of public donations to remain operational.

Meet Robbie. An Arbroath veteran on a mission to make sure no veteran is forgotten.

Twenty years after he first climbed Ben Nevis, Robbie is taking on the mountain again as part of the Help for Heroes Ben Nevis Heroes Hike, taking place this June on the 82nd anniversary of D-Day.

Despite a difficult year and living with the impact of PTSD after 24 years of service, Robbie is determined to raise awareness of veterans living in local communities. “I’m concerned that these days, veterans aren’t as visible to society and want to get people talking about this if I can."
