It was with a lot of sadness that I received the news of the passing of .bodypiercer today.

This is one of the pictures I took of her when we met in London many years ago.

Ruth your energy and laughter will stay in the hearts and souls of many.

RIP querida Rute. You were way too young. 💔🕊️

👑 HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY 👑

On this day where we celebrate what it is like being a woman, where we remember the women that fought for all the rights we conquered, it is also important to honour the Goddess within us.

For she is that force that keeps us moving in the direction we need. That battle cry when we say "that is enough". That gentle nature that leads us to love and nurture freely.

On a world where so many of our rights seem to be lost, where young girls and women have yet so much to fight for, where our voices seem to be drowned, it is even more important to let that essence within you roar. This is not the time to give up. This is the time to shine and fight for what is right. And what is right is that we should have equal rights!

So today and always:
RELEASE YOUR INNER GODDESS! 🔥

3 years ago, I organised an NFT art collection called “Peace - Myr”, in which 100% of the funds were donated to support victims of the war in Ukraine. This project, part of the group, counted with the participation of 87 amazing and strong women.

Together, we were able to raise over 8 ETH (over 20K euros at the time). All the money was donated to help volunteers, organization and medical institutions in Ukraine.

This photograph and portrait of the lovely wearing a crown, is the piece that I donated to the cause and is called “Freedom”. And that is what I wish to all Ukrainians, to all the Palestinians, to all the Iranian women and everyone going through some of the most violent and bloody hardships the world has ever witnessed. And don't fool yourselves, because if the latest events have shown us anything, it is that we, in the so-called civilised world, will be next.

It's not about money anymore (because they have it all) it is about CONTROL. Power and control.

SO STAND UP TODAY AND ALWAYS if you value the freedom to be who you want, to be with those you love, to be able to speak your mind, to read the books you want to read, to watch the movies you wish to see and to listen to songs you want to sing.

If you are a creative in the UK you should know that this is the LAST day to fill in the UK Government consultation on copyright and AI.

The proposed exception to allow AI companies to use ALL the creative works online to train their AI models, unless the creatives opt-out is simply unfair and impractical. Imagine trying to opt-out from every single artwork online, including those that were/are shared by others?

It is far easier and fAIr for both sides, if AI companies contact the creatives directly and ask for permission and a license.

This exception will hurt many artists (who already struggle to make ends meet) and only benefit companies that want to use works for free.

The existing copyright law needs to be observed by AI companies and the UK government needs to enforce it, not create exceptions.

Both AI developers and artistic creators can work together, be innovative and create a growing economy for the UK without annihilating the creative industries. As Ed Newton-Rex said the UK “can be the home of responsible AI development and responsible AI companies”.

Thus if you value your rights as a creative, you should put your thoughts across to the UK Government by filling out the consultation TODAY, if you haven’t already.

There are 49 questions, which can be quite overwhelming, I am not going to lie, but there’s also guidance out there. You do not need to answer every single one, just the ones you feel more strongly about. I have put both the survey and the guidance links in my instagram bio, but please check and for more support.

GM² (Good Morning + Great Monday) friends!☀️

Today, I have an appointment with my doctor. Let's hope my eyes are stable enough for him to prescribe me new glasses.🤞

My word for the week is GRATITUDE.💙
As I'm grateful that I can see and be independent. It was a scary journey (not to say expensive) since March, but I am feeling positive.

Hello friends! ☀️

Long time no see (pun intended 😅). How are you?

For those that don't know, I've had some eye problems in March, when my vision went blurry, literally from one day to the other. I woke up and couldn't see normally.

After a lot of doctor appointments, a conclusion was made that my meds for my glaucoma were no longer working and so I had to do a surgery.

I had my surgery on the 23rd of April and have been recovering since then.

Today, I am glad to tell you my vision is finally recovering & stabilising. So, I'm now returning to my normal life.😀

I've had some scary moments, but really grateful I can now be independent again and live a normal life (though I will probably never be able to headbang again 😪).

On another good news: .helm.arts and I will be moving SCOTLAND ✈️ soon to start a new chapter in our lives. 🥳
