A trip to the Heronry at RSPB Swell Wood Nature Reserve today to see how the chicks are coming along.
This image shows an adult Little Egret, standing on a branch next to a Grey Heron chick.
As you can see, the trees are now coming into leaf, so don't delay your visit to see (and hear) this wonderful spectical.
And don't forget your binoculars!

After weeks of rain on the Somerset Levels, much of the local landscape is under water.
I was wearing waders to take this shot from Huish drove, showing Langport across the flooded fields. The water was chest deep!
