You might have heard of travelling Europe or Asia by rail - but what if I told you that you’re missing one of the best experiences, which is travelling Scotland by rail!

You’ll want to save this special guide - it’s a handy blueprint for a beautiful Highland Rail loop full of rugged mountains, golden beaches, great places to stay and delicious food.

This special loop starts and finishes in Edinburgh, and touring Scotland by train is a completely underrated way to experience the country - and I personally prefer it to travelling by car.

I always love travelling with London North Eastern Railway, and watching the wild mountains, lochs and towns glide by while you can fully relax with a drink and some delicious food without having to focus on the road is pretty special. I also like how comfy and smooth LNER trains are, and you’ve also got handy features such as free WiFi and charging sockets at every seat.

The beauty about this rail loop is that you can take as long as you want to do it depending on how long you want to stay in each place. Plus a top tip is to book your LNER tickets online, as you’ll get some pretty amazing prices!

Would you try this rail loop?

Imagine if there was a stunning place to stay right next to Glen Coe, with Highland loch views and even a hot tub to enjoy them. Well you need to save this, because that place does exist, and it’s called

This is one of those places where words just don’t do it justice, and when you first walk in and see the views from the apartment, it just takes your breath away.
