I haven't had the chance to photograph any music festivals in the summer due to a lot of work, so when I got the chance to photograph in the park last weekend in Stirling, I immediately said yes.

It was nice to be back in the pit after a while and to have yes to photos from all the artists - something that became increasingly more difficult when you apply for a pass.

Here some of my favourite shots and acts of the weekend:
1 - James Blunt
2 - Simple Minds
3 - Chaka Khan
4 - Emily Sandé
5 - A wide shot of the area during The Script's perfomance
6 - Deacon Blue
7 - Lulu
8 - Blue
9 - Appleton

Last night at Usher Hall (Edinburgh) it was magical - was on my bucket list since I've seen this tour coming to Scotland.
It wasn't the easiest concert to photograph - we were allowed to take photos only from a side and it was really dark - but I enjoyed the atmosphere so much.
It was a mystical experience, very intimate.

Here some photos I took for Redferns, plus some little experiments.

What can I say about last night?

’s performance at the Hydro in Glasgow was something else. I woke up this morning and it’s still sitting with me.

I’m still mesmerised by the three songs I was allowed to shoot. Came home with hundreds of frames, and honestly… this was one of the hardest selections I’ve had to make in a while.

Here’s a small edit from the night for Redferns.

This show goes back to the 30th of March in Edinburgh, with Basement Jaxx.

I didn’t get the chance to post these earlier, but today I went back through the archive and found a few different frames I really liked.

Usually I’m working on very tight deadlines, so there isn’t much time to sit with the images. Coming back to them a few weeks later always gives me a slightly different feeling about the night.

I didn’t really know what to expect when I applied for this show, but it turned out to be such a great surprise.
The energy in the room was incredible, the crowd completely into it, and the lights made it even more fun to shoot.

Just a really great gig, and a lot of fun. Very glad I went to it!
