Last night at Usher Hall (Edinburgh) it was magical - was on my bucket list since I've seen this tour coming to Scotland.
It wasn't the easiest concert to photograph - we were allowed to take photos only from a side and it was really dark - but I enjoyed the atmosphere so much.
It was a mystical experience, very intimate.

What can I say about last night?

’s performance at the Hydro in Glasgow was something else. I woke up this morning and it’s still sitting with me.

I’m still mesmerised by the three songs I was allowed to shoot. Came home with hundreds of frames, and honestly… this was one of the hardest selections I’ve had to make in a while.

This show goes back to the 30th of March in Edinburgh, with Basement Jaxx.

I didn’t get the chance to post these earlier, but today I went back through the archive and found a few different frames I really liked.

Usually I’m working on very tight deadlines, so there isn’t much time to sit with the images. Coming back to them a few weeks later always gives me a slightly different feeling about the night.

I didn’t really know what to expect when I applied for this show, but it turned out to be such a great surprise.
The energy in the room was incredible, the crowd completely into it, and the lights made it even more fun to shoot.

Just a really great gig, and a lot of fun. Very glad I went to it!

Last night at the OVO Hydro, finally seeing two artists I’ve wanted to photograph for a long time.

One of my first ever Christmas presents (late ’80s) was a cassette of Rick Astley… I basically wore it out. So yeah, was pretty curious to see him live after all these years.

And the second, the fantastic Gabrielle opening the night and sounding amazing.
