Bit late to the party, but here’s a few snaps from this year’s Links Market 🎡

Always a cracking atmosphere down there – lights, noise, and a proper buzz about the place. Probably the busiest I’ve seen it! Kids holidays helped! Good to see it packed out and folk enjoying themselves as always.

Better late than never… did you make it along this year?

Went through to Glasgow this morning to have a look at the Union Corner fire site. There’s still a strong smell of fire lingering right through the city centre.

It’s getting harder to get anywhere near it now with the demolition well underway, and drones have been prohibited in the area. They’re moving quickly with it, which is understandable, but still sad to see it being taken down like this.

The last one shows a “before and after” from roughly the same position.

Just had a wander through Colinton Tunnel today and it’s honestly one of the coolest hidden spots around Edinburgh. What used to be an old railway tunnel has been transformed into a massive underground mural celebrating the poetry of Robert Louis Stevenson and scenes inspired by his work. It’s about 140 metres long, beautifully lit, and sits right along the Water of Leith path

The latest arrival into Leith, the Seaway Alfa Lift, lifting monopoles for the Inch Cape Off shore wind farm.

Nearly 40 minutes of timelapse video compressed to 2 minutes. It’s safe to say it’s a big but slow machine!

Still hard to believe the scale of the fire in Glasgow at the weekend.

The Union Building at the junction of Union Street and Gordon Street, right beside Glasgow Central Station. Built in 1851 and Category B-listed, this historic building has sadly partially collapsed after the recent fire. As sad as it is to see, it’s a relief that more wasn’t lost.

I’ve included photos I inadvertently took of it last March, alongside pictures from now.

Seafield Harbour in Kirkcaldy.

It’s been giving way to the sea for years, but the recent weather has claimed even more of it. Watching waves like that, it’s easy to see why!

FOR SOME REASON THIS POSTED WITH SQUARE PHOTOS BUT I CAN’T DELETE THIS ONE - I’VE SINCE REPOSTED.

Spent the day in Pitlochry yesterday, somewhere I must admit I’ve never been before. Taken just off the A9 looking towards Loch Tummel.
