Sad news just before Christmas, 2 schools I had pencilled in for the Spring booked another photographer while we were discussing dates. But the good news is it means I have room for 2 new schools. Busy day mounting photos today for delivery to Kirk Hammerton, Ripley, Beckwithshaw, Kettlesing and Long Marston. A few orders still to come and last date for orders for delivery to school is 8th December.

Class photos are ready to order at Kirk Hammerton primary school. The images are available to view in the school office with orders via the pixieset album where just the names of classes are shared. Any queries please don't hesitate to ask.

A flurry of orders and enquiries tonight, I will be placing a print order tomorrow to give everyone a chance to get their's in. Please note when you place an order it then gets sent to a lab for processing. I cannot do this everytime an order comes in as i have to pay delivery charges so I collect a few orders and then send them to the lab. I then have to wait for them to be delviered, then check and mount and then find a day I can visit school during opening hours to deliver. This does mean that if your order is one of the first in a group it may seem like a very long time until you actually get your prints whereas those at the end are only waiting a week. Parts of the process are totally out of my control for speed but be assured i do everything in my power to get your prints to your asap after ordering. My last day for prints before Christmas is 10th December.

Sometimes it's hard to pick a favourite from a photoshoot. Yesterday I had a family with teenagers keen to avoid social media so won't be sharing theirs and a preschool photoshoot which was too much fun to only share one! Extended family photoshoot today so plenty of editing to keep me busy! All school links are ready, just finishing off at Kirk Hammerton and Long Marston this week with people who have been poorly or new to the school.

Perfect day for photos at Hell Wath. Only one of my SEN families has managed to organise a slot but don't worry I know what it is like living with children with additional needs so will arrange another date and hopefully be able to help more families. Looking forward to some Christmas photos with a regular family and just seen the boys are now taller than the parents!

Inspired by Mandy at Calm Aura Healing in Ripon I want to offer some free shoots to give back to families who may be having a tricky time. If your child has SEN traditional school photos, white background, sit and smile at a stranger can be a challenging day and not produce photos of your child looking relaxed and happy. I would like to offer 3 families the chance for some natural, relaxed outdoor school photos. Completely free of charge your photos will be available to download and use as you wish. The photoshoots will take place on Saturday 1st November at Hell Wath in Ripon. If you have a child with additional needs or know someone who might benefit from this please comment below. Sharing this post would be really helpful to spread the word and I will let those successful know by next Saturday.

Things were a little different at Kettlesing this year as my usual area was out of bounds as too slippery to be safe so I had to use the playground. Still managed to get a good variety of shots and with some children had no problem getting them clse and showing they love each other. I love photographing these beautiful girls. Do you prefer their image in colour or black adn white? every gallery has both options for every photo so parents can choose.

Back to Ripley today to catch some children who were on holiday when I last visited and then to Long marston to catch 2 new starters. I have finished editing Ripley and links are going out tonight thanks to Samantha, next on the list is Kettlesing, sneak peek anyone?
