It was a busy opening night at the Fortingall Art exhibition. Over 30 exhibitors packed into the fabulous Molteno Hall on a very warm summer's evening.

One of my images of Schiehallion is currently being used in the Spring edition of Trust, the investment trust magazine of Baillie Gifford & Co, the Edinburgh-based investment management partnership. They were searching for an image of Schiehallion to illustrate the feature and found one of mine on Etsy, contacted me and offered me a nice amount to use the image for their magazine. The printed magazine was posted out to me yesterday and available online here: https://www.bailliegifford.com/en/uk/individual-investors/insights/ic-article/2026-q1-trust-52-peak-performer-10061927/

A proper early start this morning, having watched the weather it looked promising. We had more snow over the weekend on the hills before it turns warmer from tomorrow so it felt right to head upwards. It was a lot windier than expected even lower down and it was still dark, I was thinking I hope this is worth it... but once on the ridge the windchill really cut through but conditions were worth it! Time to layer up. I was thinking this looks good but couldn't fully appreciate it at the time as it was so cold. It was more like deep winter than April but stunning nonetheless. I have all the right technical clothing for such conditions but keeping the hands warm while using a camera and tripod is always a losing battle!
